About the Event
TO ALL MEMBERS
Annual Spring Planting Work Day:
Saturday, May 14, 9-11 am
Thanks to donations from the Friends of the Mashpee Wildlife Refuge, Don Clarke
and purchases by the club, we will be planting a lot of shrubs and wild flowers
around the edges of the Apple Field.
This year we will have hard working Scouts from
Troops 38 & 42 helping with the planting.
We're looking forward to
getting the Scouts more involved
in the club's conservation efforts.
Volunteers from the club are invited to the work day.
Bring a shovel, bring your spouse or kid and plant a shrub.
If anyone has a cordless drill with a garden auger
bring it along. It will help to drill planting holes
for the wildflower plugs."
Parking available at the apple field.
Afterwards you may want to take a walk
around the wildflower fields 3, 4, 5 , 6 and 7
or out to the Farley and Gardner Bogs.
It's too early for flowers but still a nice walk
around the fields and river restoration.
AD's note: "Yes, it is OK afterwords to walk around project.
Please keep to main road rather than down to edge of river."
