About the Event
> We’ll be honoring Steve Hurley, fisheries manager with Mass Fisheries & Wildlife who is retiring after 30+ years of service. Steve has been a great help to the FRGC and SSCEF in our work on the Childs River restoration and the annual fish surveys showing increasing numbers of sea-run brook trout (salters) returning to the river. SSCEF will give Steve an award, we’ll have several speakers, and State Rep David Vieira will give him a citation from the Mass House of Representatives. > We’ll also have Sol Gully giving the prizes to the kids who won the "longest "contest on the kids fishing trip from several weeks ago.
